Congolese Development Center, Boston
The CDC's local programs assisst newcomers in the United States, ease their transition process and facilitate their integration into a new life. Through its programs, The CDC helps these refugees and immigrants to improve the quality of their lives by becoming productive, responsible individuals who give back to their community.
On a national level, the CDC mobilizes refugees and immigrants' expertise through partnerships with a network of community-based organizations to ensure good use of the most relevant African expertise for sustainable development in Africa.
The CD-C will run its programs in the USA and in the Democratic Republic of Congo.
Mission:
- Provide basic resources, services, information and skills needed to ease the transition and facilitate the integration into the new life in the United States.
- Strengthen the Congolese community by promoting mutual assistance, increasing their capacity to serve their local communities.
- Mobilize the expertise of refugees and immigrants through partnerships with a network of community-based organizations to ensure good use of the most relevant African expertise for sustainable development in Africa.
