Last week the Trump Administration cut 83% of funding to The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugee (UNRWA). This represents the first time in American history that the U.S government has withdrawn humanitarian funding for political reasons -- a punitive measure that will put millions of Palestine refugees at risk.

Now, thousands have been stepping up in both an act of resistance and solidarity with the UNRWA.

Various persons have been responding vocally to the UNRWA in stating:

"I donate out of compassion and concern for the Palestinian people, who have lost so much and continue to suffer so much and distress at the action of the US in withdrawing funds from UNRWA. I spent the summer of 1966 working in Jerusalem and know how essential UNRWA has been for Palestine refugees for a very long time now."

-Carol F., New York

"American values stand for compassion and the rights of all humans for peace, justice, security, and opportunity. If the administration will not use my tax dollars to fund UNRWA then I will continue to give what I can."

-Richard S., Arizona

"I am a United States citizen and so deeply ashamed of and saddened by Donald Trump's decision to cut funding to UNRWA. Thank you so much for the work that you all do at UNRWA. My thoughts and prayers go out to all those struggling as refugees and those dealing with the abhorrent and illegal occupation of Palestine by Israel."

-Samantha B., Ohio

"As a Jewish Christian, I believe in peace and justice for all people, in particular, the poor and disenfranchised, and I stand with Palestine refugees everywhere toward their fundamental human rights and their dignity."

-Janet K., New York
