NASSAU, Bahamas– Getting a taxi in Nassau, Bahamas is now even easier thanks to the Bahamas Ride mobile app that allows travelers to book a taxi on their mobile devices with the tap of a button.

Bahamas Ride puts passengers in direct contact with licensed and vetted taxi drivers, providing on-demand, safe and reliable transportation anytime and anywhere.

The new app has a sleek interface that allows users to see nearby drivers, request a taxi and follow the trip via GPS tracking. There are three types of taxis available on the app – standard for up to four riders, large for up to six riders, and extra large for 10 plus riders. Passengers will see all of their driver’s information, including photo, license plate number and mobile number. Bahamas Ride also has a driver rating system.

Bahamas Ride is also modernizing the country’s taxi industry by allowing riders to use all forms of payment. They can pay with credit or debit card through the app, or simply pay cash to the driver.

The taxi app has officially launched in Nassau and is available for download for iOS and Android devices, with plans to expand to Grand Bahama, Eleuthera, Abaco and Exuma.

“Bahamas Ride aims to be the country’s premier on-demand transportation provider and offer exceptional, convenient experiences to locals and visitors to The Bahamas,” said Gavin Christie, President of Bahamas Ride. “We hope that visitors will get to experience more of what The Islands of The Bahamas have to offer thanks to the new quick and easy way to get around.”
