The Canadian Journalism Foundation welcomes submissions for a series of awards and fellowships vhonouring significant contributions to journalism and providing opportunities for early-career journalists.

CJF-Globe and Mail Internship for Investigative Journalism *NEW
This new internship will bring an early-career journalist to The Globe and Mail to pursue a six-month long investigative journalism project—focussed on public accountability, corporate responsibility and government funding—under the guidance of editors and senior reporters. The goal of the program is to provide an opportunity for the intern to stretch his or her investigative skills with the help of some of the country's best reporters and editors.

CJF Innovation Award
Further strengthening its support of journalistic innovation, the CJF is proud to announce its Innovation Award now offers the winning organization a $10,000 prize, with thanks to the generous support of new award sponsor Chevrolet. This award recognizes innovations by a single news organization that have a demonstrated impact in advancing the quality of journalism.

CJF Jackman Award for Excellence in Journalism
This award honours a Canadian organization that embodies exemplary journalism with a resulting impact on the community it serves. Winners are selected in two categories: 1) large media organization and 2) small media organization.

CJF Lifetime Achievement Award
This award recognizes an individual who has made an outstanding lifetime contribution to journalism in Canada. The recipient will have demonstrated, throughout his/her career, a commitment to the highest journalistic standards and ideals. His/her contribution to the field and society should serve as a model that inspires excellence in others.

CJF-CBC Indigenous Journalism Fellowships
These fellowships allow two Indigenous journalists early in their careers (one to 10 years of experience) the opportunity to explore an issue of interest while being hosted by CBC News for one month at its Indigenous Centre in Winnipeg. This award is supported by RBC Foundation, CN, and individual donors Rosemary Speirs, CJF honorary governor, and Isabel Bassett, former chair and CEO of TVO.

The Landsberg Award
This award recognizes a working journalist doing exceptional research, analysis and writing through a gender lens about women's equality issues in Canada. The award is named after Michele Landsberg—journalist, author, social activist and feminist. The award recipient will receive a $5,000 prize from the Canadian Women's Foundation, co-presenter of this award.

Greg Clark Award
This award is unique in Canadian journalism, designed to offer early-career journalists (one to five years of experience) a chance to gain insight and meet key decision-makers on their beats. The recipient will get an opportunity to spend up to a week observing the inner workings of an organization not usually accessible to the working journalist. This award is sponsored by Shaw Communications and the Toronto Star.
