TORONTO – The Gourmet Food & Wine Expo will be uncorking this November with more delicious food, spirits, wine and beer than ever before.

Running from November 17-20 at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre, the Toronto staple will be back with more than 1,500 wines, beers, spirits and gourmet foods to experience. Journey around the globe with cooking pros, talk one-on-one with industry experts and taste the newest dishes and drinks everyone is raving about.

“We’re bringing in some of the best food, wine and gourmet experiences that we’ve ever had at the Expo,” said Paul McNair, Show Manager of the Gourmet Food and Wine Expo. “Guests can sample tons of new craft beer, awesome spirits, world-class wine and of course, food from some of the area’s top restaurants and chefs. There’s nowhere else in Toronto where you can experience all of this under one roof.”

There’s no shortage of things to taste and see at this year’s Expo. Meet Cheese Expert Anne-Marie Rajabalee and learn from her live cooking seminars presented by the Dairy Farmers of Canada’s Canada Cheese Corner. For spirits enthusiasts, take a walk on the wild side with Wild Turkey Spirits, whose sample booth includes a mini-museum walk through to showcase the bourbon’s history.

The Tutored Tasting series of wine seminars will have an international theme this year with wines from Spain, Germany, South Africa, New Zealand, Italy and California - not to mention a highlighted group of the best of best from the InterVin international Wine Competition. As usual, the educational wine seminars that feature new finds and old favourites, will be hosted by an all-star group of experts, including the Thirsty Traveller Kevin Brauch, Editor of VINES Magazine Chris Waters and Sommeliers John Szabo and Zoltan Szabo. Tickets for the Tutored Tastings seminars will be available for purchase at FoodandWineExpo.ca.

Foodies are also in for a treat this year with not only returning restaurants and chefs, but tons of new exhibitors that will be found at the Expo as well, including EDO, Little Fin, Springrolls, Mad Mexican, Magic Oven, Kinka Family, Entice Lounge and Moksha Indian from Niagara Falls. Many more restaurant exhibitors will also be announced in the months leading up to the Expo.

Returning again to wrap up the final day of the Expo will be the Mott’s Clamato Best Caesar in Town National Final. On Sunday, November 20th, top mixologists from across Canada will compete at the Gourmet Food & Wine Expo during a live on stage presentation to make the best and most delicious caesar in the city.
