Developed in collaboration with music and event producers Wavelength, 88 Days of Fortune and Healing Power Records, the event will take place on the beachfront lawn and throughout the Artscape Gibraltar Point building. · Johannes Zits, who will be performing a meditation on a variety of relationships including time and space. Using an approach that is poetic and self-reflexive, his point of departure is a particular sunset on Hanlan’s Beach and informed by experiences on the Islands with time spent at Artscape Gibraltar Point. This piece explores the ways his body engages with physical environments and how this interaction reverberates into the psycho-social spaces inhabited.

· Shadowland Theatre In honour of Artscape Gibraltar Point’s 15 year anniversary, Shadowland will be parading with flags and fire around the building, blessing the four directions of space.

In addition, there will be a Fire Dancer and Crystal Ball Juggler animating the space at various times throughout the event. Zeesy Powers, a performance, image and text based artist, will be ensuring attendees’ entrance to the festival is other worldly by installing a piece symbolic to Artscape Gibraltar Point’s 15 year anniversary at the front gate of the festival. Zeesy will also be creating dreamy watercolour portraits of attendees on the beach. Melissa Fisher will be in charge of further other worldliness by artfully set designing the performance stage with a variety of illusionary materials. Visual effects duo Vanessa Rieger & Brandon Dalmer will also be illuminating the stage with heavy light projections called ‘Videomancy’. Susan Coolen will be installing her neon wood pieces in the sky lights of the main gallery hallway and Shoshonah MacKay will be taking over the women’s washroom with her audio visual piece, ‘old people aren’t sleeping they’re dreaming’.
