Former President Barack Obama is set speak on Monday at the University of Chicago. This will be President Obama's first public engagement since his two-term presidency ended earlier this year.

Obama has been using his free time vacationing and being with his family.

It was in Chicago that President Obama started his political career. It was also in Chicago that he gave both his Presidential victory speech and also his farewell speech.
His presidential library is also being planned to be housed in Chicago.

Obama's speech at the University of Chicago is an invitation -only event. According to reports it is being billed as part of his post-presidency goal to "encourage and support the next generation of leaders."
