Recent research and general facts have indicated that over 2million Nigerians are currently displaced internally across the country, while some of them have migrated to an unknown destination and neighboring countries such as Cameroun, Niger, Mali and Chad looking for survival and succor.
The IDPs we have in our nation today are beautiful Nigerians - family's made up of youths, women, men and children with hope and future but life has changed for them as a result of INSURGENCY AND THE BOKO HARAM. Their lives have been tremendously threatened as the hope for the future seems so gloomy and unsure for them. They lack the basic necessities of life and their lives seems to be in total recession but we want to bring hope to them and make their lives count amidst the predicament that they encountered , we believe in their future, we believe they can smile again.
Grassroots Entrepreneurship Skill Acquisition Initiative (GESAI) in a non-profit Organization with the mandate to empower the less privileged/unskilled youths and women within the six geopolitical zones in Nigeria through skills acquisition and empowerment support. We also engage in project that brings innovation to communities alongside with health sensitization programs helping to secure a better life for the vulnerable children, school drop-outs and rural dwellers.
Hence we are on a mission to train some of the youths and women on vocational/ technical skills and entrepreneurship with empowerment support to start-up small scale micro-business. It actually takes partnership, collective effort with passionate hearts to achieve this aim. We are hereby seeking advocacy, partnership, seeking funding from individuals, philanthropist donor agencies to facilitate this project in IDP camps in Nigeria(Edo, northern region and Abuja).
