The People's Democratic Movement (PDM) political party on Montserrat have selected a new Leader heading into the 2019 General Elections.
Hon Paul Lewis, Minister of Communications, Works, Energy and Labour (MCWEL) has been given the nod, via an in-house voting process, to be the new Leader of the PDM.

Hon Lewis will thus be leading the PDM charge for re-election heading towards polling day carded for November 18th, 2019.
Hon Donaldson Romeo remains as Premier of Montserrat until new Parliamentarians have been elected, and a new Government chosen to lead the island.

In addition, the People's Democratic Movement remains united as a party heading into the upcoming elections.
Hon Lewis who hails from Windy Hill in the East of the island, entered active politics prior to the 2014 elections under a PDM ticket and duly won his seat; serving in the Montserrat Legislative Assembly for the past 5 years as he directed his Ministry.
Hon Lewis today sits as New Leader of the PDM, with him being one of the Founders of the Party prior to the 2014 elections.
Under his stewardship MCWEL grew from strength to strength, delivering key policy and programme initiatives for the people of Montserrat.
