Hot Chocolate singer and frontman, Errol Brown, has died aged of 71. He is survived by his wife and two daughters.

Errol died from liver cancer at his home in the Bahamas according to confirmed reports.

He rose to fame in the 70s and 80s with massive hits such as You Sexy Thing, It Started With A Kiss and So You Win Again. During his long career he has more that 20 top 40 hits, with You Sexy Thing reaching number two in the UK charts in 1975.

The very same song came back to bring more fame and fortune to Errol in 1997 when it was featured in the British film The Full Monty.

Errol's band, Hot Chocolate also performed for Royalty during their time, having performed in 1981 at a pre-wedding evnt at Buckingham Palace for the Prince of Wales and Lady Diana Spencer.

The Jamaica born singer moved to Britain from Jamaica at the age of 12 and was awarded an MBE in 2003. Following this he received an Ivor Novello award for his outstanding contribution to British music.
