Great news to report today from the Vue Pointe Hotel on Montserrat!

Owners Cedric and Carol Osborne today spoke exclusively with MNI Alive Media, sharing the wonderful news that the Vue Pointe's management is working very hard to have some facilities opened in time for both the Christmas and the St Patrick's holiday seasons.

Having opened in 1961, the Vue Pointe Hotel has been closed for the past 9 years due to disruption in their services as a result of some extensive damage from the effects of the Soufriere Hills Volcano's eruption.

In an effort to revive Tourism on Montserrat, The Vue Pointe Hotel was the recipient of a EC$200,000 grant from the Government of Montserrat under the Tourism Accommodation Growth Fund Initiative. In addition to these monies, Mr & Mrs Osborne informs MNI Alive that they have thus far spent over EC$500,000 of their own funds into getting various sections of the hotel ready.

In terms of accommodation, the Vue Pointe is also seeking to have an initial 4 Cottages ready for guests in the coming months.

For more exciting news on what is taking place with the Vue Pointe Hotel's renovation, listen below to the full interview conducted with both Mr Cedric Osborne and Mrs Carol Osborne:
