"When destiny calls you have to give it your all."

Those lyrics taken from the lead singer of reggae group, Aswad, in their song titled Warriors. I find it relevant to describe the historic work recently undertaken in Axum, Ethiopia, by a very inspirational young man, Jevon White.

Jevon was very instrument - in fact - he was the driving force behind the fundraising drive to build a new Chapel of Tablets Temple in Ethiopia to house the most religious of artefacts, The Ark of The Covenant.

Jevon's work in Ethiopia came about from two visits to the African country, and him visiting the old Chapel of Tablets Temple and asking to meet the Guardian of the Ark of The Covenant. It was during his second visit that he expressed his interest in wanting to do something to uplift the existing state of the Chapel, and this he told to the Guardian who was very receptive.

Jevon tells MNI Alive that the Guardian then proceeded to show him plans for a new Chapel of Tablets Temple he had in his possession for over two years. However, he was waiting for the right individual to come along to advance the cause of getting the new Chapel of Tablets built; this work he decreed was Jevon's calling, to which Jevon was forthcoming in accepting.

Listen to Jevon explain to MNI Alive's Editor-in-Chief his participation in this project below:
