TORONTO, ON. (May 31, 2017) — The hot sun beats down as the waves lap onto a sandy beach, an exotic drink in hand as your cares float away on the warm summer breeze.

It could be a clipping from a travel brochure — or a fun-filled weekend in downtown Toronto as the city’s best beach bash once again transforms Sugar Beach into a tropical paradise. The Wine & Spirit Festival, the first Toronto festival of its kind, returns for its ninth year to Sugar Beach on June 16th and 17th, showcasing the talents of the world’s most renowned wine, beer, cider and spirit producers along with chefs and culinary personalities.

“We are so happy to be back for another year,” says Scott Rondeau, Wine & Spirit Festival Co-Founder. “There is no better way to kick off the summer than with an ice-cold drink in your hand, surrounded by great friends and great entertainment on the beach!”

Some unique festival activities and workshops that guests can expect this year are:

  • Diverse Experience: There are more than 200 brands who will be pouring their finest wares on the beach, from beer to wine to cocktails to liquors of all kind. Get ahead of the curve and sample some of the trendiest drinks that will be all the rage on patios and in clubs this summer.
