I am a long time “snowbird,” who has been a consistent visitor since the 70’s, now spending many months each year in Old Towne, Montserrat. It is my pleasure to employ two wonderful Montserratians full time all year, as well as a house manager and others seasonally. I am sincerely perplexed as to why the powers that be, the Governor, The Premier, the responsible minister for power continue to tolerate and excuse the power company's performance that we have now been victims of for months. Beyond making pleas for patience, the people who live and work here are asked to suffer the non performance of MUL with quiet understanding.

I cannot think of another country, city or company that would so long retain their nonperforming executives, month after month of dismal failures, with no change in management.

What is the purpose of giving lip service to hopefully encourage new businesses to open, and people to move here when the basic infrastructure is not up to prime time and cannot support the present populace adequately in the delivery of essential services?

I’m just wondering……
