Dear Mr Editor,

I had to write to you. I want to talk about this Claude Hogan situation.

Today, I followed a conversation where Minister Claude Hogan refused to answer what I agree to be a straightforward question of whether he gives Donaldson Romeo, our Premier, his support.

I felt like I should write to you, because you and some others need to understand that this is Claude Hogan we are talking about.

Mr Editor, what do you think is behind Claude making all those phone calls on Radio Montserrat all the while? The man has been working to promote himself as a people person and the next leader of our island! Everyone on this island knows that Claude is quite possibly not fully in with Donaldson. You remember last year election what he was reported to say in a shop in Look Out?

You yourself interviewed him, and I listened that night as he denied he said such a thing about Premier Romeo not being able to lead him. You remember this Mr Editor?

Look at this now that Minister Claude came on ZJB last week, and when Warren asked him if he supports Donaldson fully, he responded asking what kind of question that was. Today I read with great interest as you asked him simply to state whether he supports Don as Premier, and look that still today how many days after, he cannot answer. What does that tell everyone?

Claude Hogan I will tell you, Mr Editor, is ruthlessly ambitious. He wants to be Premier. Why else can't he pledge his support then for Donaldson? I bet you he will never go on radio and say he support Donaldson fully.

Mr Editor, I read your article yesterday about political instability and what it is doing to this little island of ours. Remember you know, that the people elected this group of people to work for them, and look at them a year in power fighting for more money for Parliamentary Secretary position, another one resign but we are not surprised there. Then now Claude Hogan refuse to say if he support Donaldson.

What is Minister Hogan playing at? It's either he has confidence in the Premier or he does not. Is it not? Dr Ingrid Buffonge said her position and left the PDM because she could not take being led by Donaldson. We know where she stands.

I did not vote for PDM. I voted a mix of independents. I expected better from Claude though. I really wish he would answer straight if he gives Donaldson his support and confidence and let our island get past this. England got to be laughing at us.

Thank you,
Man From St John's
