Twelve Cuban migrants were rescued after their boat sank in the Caribbean Sea Thursday.

Officials with the Coast Guard Seventh District command center got the report around 10 a.m. of migrants suffering from dehydration and stranded on Lobos Cay Island, Bahamas.

Two crews were dispatched to assist.

Upon arriving on scene, the aircrew aboard an HC-144 dropped emergency supplies consisting of food, water and a radio.

An MH-60 aircrew got the migrants and took them to Bahamian officials in Nassau, Bahamas.

There were no reports of any injuries.
