Mother's Day Statement from Hon Paul J. Lewis of Montserrat to all Mothers and Givers of Care

It is not lost on myself as a Minister of Government, but more so, as a member of our Montserrat community, that without the nurturing and the protective embrace of our women, that much of our society would be laid to waste.

Today being Mother's Day, Sunday, May 13th, 2018, I would like to take this opportunity to express much love and appreciation to all the Mothers, and to all those women who are givers of care in our community.

It is not lost on myself as a Minister of Government, but more so, as a member of our Montserrat community, that without the nurturing and the protective embrace of our women, that much of our society would be laid to waste. Women and Mothers here on this island have been strong protectors of our national good, and for their attention and grace, I ask that God continues to bless them in all they do.

Montserrat is a community undergoing changes. It will take all of us to guide this country's path towards becoming once more a prosperous and vibrant nation. Not only do we need strong men, but strong women too will see us even more successful and powerful in our development cause.

I salute all women, and all Mothers who are working hard to raise the leaders of tomorrow for our island.

May the grace of God be with you.

Once again a Happy and Most Blessed Mother's Day to all.

Hon Paul. J. Lewis
Minister of Communications, Works, Energy and Labour.
