MNI Media can confirm that NBA superstar LeBron James will return to Toronto for the fourth summer on the upcoming Civic Holiday long weekend to host DAYLIGHT presented by the Peeks Toronto Caribbean Carnival, a party with a message of peace.

James will be on hand to help party guests get in the Carnival spirit at DAYLIGHT, produced by The Elements Toronto Inc, which takes place on Friday, Aug. 3 from 2-8 p.m. at the Toronto Event Centre’s Paris Beach Day Club.

Organizers with DAYLIGHT and the carnival have created the hashtag #party4peace in an effort to promote peace and inclusiveness in Toronto through social media, while helping residents and visitors who attend Carnival events to feel welcome.

“Toronto is a one-of-a-kind place to live,” says Elie Shermer of The Elements Toronto Inc. “Having LeBron James join us as we celebrate Carnival weekend really speaks to the great reputation and solid community we have in Toronto.”

DAYLIGHT will be giving back to the community through a donation to Transform Community Group (transformcommunitygroup.com), an organization that works to positively impact youth in Toronto.

“This year, the theme of Peeks Toronto Caribbean Carnival is Canada’s celebration of freedom and diversity,” says Chris Alexander, CAO, Peeks Toronto Caribbean Carnival. “This theme perfectly reflects our message of peace as we pay tribute to our history and look forward to celebrating openly and freely Carnival weekend.”
