Ottawa, Canada - Mold Busters, a leading mold removal company in Canada, has announced that they will be launching a new scholarship for Canadian college students. Students in any program in any post-secondary institute throughout Canada will be able to submit an essay related to mold or indoor air quality issues in order to not only further their own knowledge of the subject, but to compete for a $1000 cash prize towards their tuition. Winners will also have their essays published on the Mold Busters website and promoted through social media.

“Poor indoor air quality isn’t always something that people are fully aware of, particularly young adults,” explains Mold Busters owner, Michael Golubev. “Through our biannual scholarship, we hope to give students a chance to not only showcase their talent and win money towards their tuition, but to bring awareness to the causes and effects of poor indoor air quality. Students are able to choose a topic related to the causes or symptoms of mold and poor air quality, and have the chance to see their winning article posted on our website and social media channels to further promote awareness.”

In order to qualify for the Mold Busters Scholarship Program, entrants must be currently enrolled in a Canadian college or university and must submit an essay in English of 1000+ words covering mold, asbestos, VOCs, radon, or the effects of poor IAQ (indoor air quality) on human health. The scholarship is awarded biannually and all essays must be submitted by December 21st for the winter semester and April 21st for the summer semester. Winners are chosen on the 29th of December and April respectively.
