It was a packed house last night at the Arawak Cay venue for Night Two of the 2017 Junkanoo Carnival in Nassau, Bahamas!

The crowds came out and they came out to party hard! From the gates for ticket purchases, right through to the security checks for entry, it was a packed affair!

So who did they come to see? Machel? Bunji? Or was it Visage and other top performing artistes?

What was on display last night was colour, entertainment with class, and an intense atmosphere of fun-loving crowd participation.

On the bill last night was Michael Montano, Bunji Garlin, Fay Ann Lyons, Olatunji, Peter Ram, Sonovia Pierre, DMac, and Visage!

Visage gave a performance that gripped the crowd!

Their high energy performance showed the full musical versatility of the band, as they played not only their hits, and popular Bahamian hits, but they also played, quite beautifully, many of the popular tracks that rule the airwaves of soca across the Caribbean and the international soca community. I was very impressed by this band having heard them perform live for the first time.

It is not just that they sang but their overall production and choreographed moves gave their set an added edge. It also was a treat for the attendees at last night's event as they got a full indulgence from Visage for their money's worth.

The crowd in attendance, in return showed their appreciation with their participation; which surely gave the members of the Visage a further edge as they ramped up a gear their set whilst on stage.

Last night's acts showed what the Junkanoo Carnival in the Bahamas is about!

It is about people having fun with friends and loved ones. It is about culture being the mainstay of the event. It is about showing that in the Bahamas fun can be had to a very high standards in an atmosphere of safety like in any other part of the Caribbean.

Junkanoo Carnival 2017 here in Nassau on night two was spectacular! Night three is set to be even bigger with reggae act Beres Hammond set to headline!
