In 2009 I put my neck on the line. I warned you of the potential for evil of the Movement for Change and Prosperity (MCAP). I told you they will neglect you, abuse you and laugh at you. How did I know? I know them all. And based on that knowledge I could have safely made the prediction. The fact is I underestimated them. I did not know that they could have descended so low. They have alienated you. One because they do not care: they do not need you anymore. When they lose they get their fat pensions and gratuities and that has been their attitude. They boast about it. And many can testify to that in actual terms. They look for themselves and their supporters ONLY.

And I know others in this election. I told you who to vote out. I have not told you who to vote in. Removing MCAP is one thing. Replacing MCAP is another thing. Watch for my advice carefully.

I will be your eyes and ears. I promise you that I will be an energetic advocate for justice and fair play on this island. I will stand by you and for you and for you. I personally know injustice. I am overdosed on it. I promise you I will protect you against agents of government who abuse your fundamental rights. I will cast the tent of justice over your heads whenever the need arises. Trust me on that!

And as long as Jehovah gives me breath I will fight for you to the death. And you will never again be out done by any son of a gun!

Some MCAP candidates are finding disfavor with their leader. They are blaming him and want to jump ship. Without their leader they are leaderless. And with him they are clueless. They and their leader are one. Their leader is them. Do not allow them to lead you into further mayhem. You have to put a permanent end to this cycle of MCAP-ism!

I want you to understand my motivation. I love this island with a passion. Its tranquility and peace is of the highest value. We must treasure it. It is my duty to improve and maintain it. You are my brother. You are my sister. I hold you in my bosom. You mean much to me. Listen to me my friends. We need good responsible and accountable governance. Any disorder is likely to grow into further disorder. Where things begin they do not end. This is your opportunity.

I have been to the mountain top. I am on the mountain top and I am seeing the promise land of a brand new Montserrat, prosperous and healthy in which we respect nature and its assets. And MCAP is no part of that map. MCAP will be ruined under the weight of the excavated debris of Pipers Pond and Gun Hill and the planned second death of the dead ones at Caars Bay Cemetery. And when MCAP meets its deserved fate on that Great Election Day, there can be no resurrection for that unholy bunch. MCAP is pompous. Nature is jealous. Not to respect nature is blasphemous. And scallywags can never be part of us.

And no longer will they seek mileage and leverage from the church. Where they put on an aura of holiness and godliness, pretend they are filled with concern, whilst agriculture and the environment will take a lifetime to return.

And the partnership between government and the physical environment will be strong and respectful; in which we work with nature and not against nature. In which we do not destroy in order to build. Where responsible individuals will refrain from using dangerous herbicides, in their closely knit neighbourhoods and in their commercial vegetable gardens that can poison the nation; (I want to tell you) Any governmental institution that disregards nature that tramples upon nature in the name of development will disregard you and will trample upon you. It is a natural conclusion. You destroy the earth’s natural assets with ease. It follows that you may compelled to disregard human life just as you please.

And a premier will eventually arise that will make you wise. And the politics of bad mindedness and spite will remain in the past. And everyone will have access to available work irrespective of political affiliation. And the premier in this new dispensation will treat the citizens with transparency and decency and respect; the peoples’ rights will not be violated by any budding willy-nilly strong man, with no respect for the common man.

And in that Government to come, it will not have to pay out thousands to disgruntled citizens, whose rights have been breached by powerful politicians who think that might is right and they can do as they like when they like.

MCAP will be whipped into oblivion. MCAP is a sore that goes to the very core. MCAP is condemned for its actions and shamed by its inactions. They are doomed for doing and rubbished for not doing.

In this election my friends you think quality. Choose and invest in quality candidates.

Quality means equality. Quality means equity. Quality means prosperity. Quality means sustainability.

And my friends I wish to tell you with a sense of relief from the mountain top; from the very summit of the mountain top: Quality does not and cannot mean MCAP!
