On Sunday, May 3rd, 2018, an article was published that gave inference that real estate developer, Mr. Mohammed Asaria, the founder of Range Developments, was arrested in China and is under suspicion for fraudulent activities to do with illegal fundraising.

Having heard from Mr Asaria’s PR Team, and having doubly checked with our sources via more investigations, we can report that the information contained in the original article was not correct. Also having spoken to Mr Asaria’s representatives, we have been assured that the gentleman is in Geneva presently.

With regards to Mr Asaria being arrested in China, we have been otherwise informed that he was speaking at a conference in China last week, where he was targeted by a number of protesters.

Mr Asaria then sat down to listen to their grievances, which turned out to be baseless.

We would thus like to issue a retraction of that story and an apology unreservedly to Mr Mohammed Asaria and to Range Developments.

Mr Asaria is presently developing Park Hyatt St. Kitts Christophe Harbour and the Cabrits Resort in Dominica.

Mr. Asaria has since stated that he intends to continue his work in the Caribbean.

“I won’t let this distract from our efforts to build world-class projects in the Caribbean.” He said.

Range Developments is leading the development of the luxurious Six Senses resort at La Vallee, which is scheduled to open in the fourth quarter of 2021.

Again we wish Mr Asaria and Range Developments well and apologise for the disturbance to his business interests.
