Conscience for sale, for lease, but not borrow
Separation may just alleviate my sorrow
Everyone has one but mine is a hindrance
It's been used not abused with lots of tolerance
Monitoring the whatever nanoseconds of my existence
Curtailing my fluency implementing through observance
Like rain drops on an arid soil it absorbs my fun
A financial exchange is adequate I'll take it and run

Everything my heart lovingly desires it says you shan't
Sick of my conscience buoying on don't and can't
Be it tittering on law abiding or fun loving
That innermost me screams for free time playing
With every breathe it exist silently with controlled authority
Manipulating my mind having my body sworn to secrecy
When i stray and attain the joy that sends my freedom reeling
It invokes that guilt that scolding teacher disciplinary feeling

So reasonably I'm putting my conscience on sale
If you have one don't worry get two in case yours fail
Profit is not my margin or intent of abandonment
It's just a moralistic clause that I'm trying to circumvent
Thoughts i can't tell tho' my conscience says I'm going to hell
This inward battle left me sordid and worn so might as well
In case you want two for the price of one don't worry
I'll throw in my neighbor's she can't keep hers either I'm sorry
If the rumor mill start spreading it'll be hell to pay
But lack of a conscience I'll be enjoying life more every day
