That thin line where a packed minefield abuts opportunity
Where hope is a dwindling population and action is necessary
To rise from her situation is like a squatters dream
But the point of relevancy is as hopeful as a moonbeam
Sorrow has done its share and its employing complacency
Pain has carved its path exposing humility with discrepancy

Today, today she'll take that stand facing reality for what it brings
No more attached to a servitude life by two diamonds rings
Surrendering the façade though lonely of joyful deep family values
Exposing the under belly of the family carnage he secretly choose
Emancipating herself from the shackles of what is deemed love
Seeking the aerial view of life willing to fly like a dove

Bypassed the rumor mill churning stories of his assumed cheating
Though the trail was long as his excuses out late night drinking
The thin line of faith came within her cross hairs
She found within one of his drawers filled with women underwear
A pair of red stilettos in the back of his shoe rack
In the shoebox there is a black dress neatly folded and packed
He confessed they were all his for his enjoyment of dressing up
Insecurity and lack of his attention she urged this fetish to stop
Wearing it to bars out alone neon signs of faded masculinity appear
Before the tsunami hits she said "I'm getting the hell out of here"
Through wounded soul searching and lustful trepidation
She limped away with what's left of her sanity with desperation
