Spoken Word: How About a Sip?

Someone convinced a dumb ass that slavery was a choice. Justice is given to a people who thrive without using one voice

Maybe somewhere in my creation scotch was involved
If not an argument a tense pleasurable stand was resolved
The answer was in the question or the bottle with no defense
What time was it when an elephant sat on her fence?
Truth, I did not vote to be born but I am not anxious to die
For a broken bottle of good scotch can make me cry
When swaggering tongues unleash foolhardy words
One needs a sip to neutralize a density that is so absurd

Someone convinced a dumb ass that slavery was a choice
Justice is given to a people who thrive without using one voice
For in Ganja”s legalization the river of pain is impregnated
Packed cells of black men whose crimes are not yet rated
Freedom is in a wishing well and the police are in charge
Choices are simply framed or dead, either way bon voyage
You are stolen from the country of your ancestors and enslaved
Then reinvesting selling you your lineage and heritage

I need a sip for today is but a short step from yesterday
Let love be omnipresent let the lightening bolt show me the way
Hasten not on this one way road of life, enjoy the sceneries
Destination is still death, so enjoy the hills, curves and valleys
Some are still embarrassed naked and improper here
Scarcity versus sincerity, clothes nil ass bare, still we care
Confidence is being a king without a physical kingdom
The realm feeling anointed without being touched isn’t random
I need a sip
