The eyes yield a periscopic view to a world of utter corruption
So for this we close our eyes
When fathers lie, babies cry and from abortion mothers die
We close our eyes
When Molotov cocktails stand against uzi's as the innocent dies
We close our eyes
When a revolution seems like the only solution amidst confusion
We close our eyes
When wretched swords and blood stain hands are washed with milk
We close our eyes
When babies starve as tables overfill and swines feast
We close our eyes
When wealth is of more personal value than human health
We close our eyes
When dogs are fed steak and families have not a bread to break
We close our eyes
When for the same God under separate religion killing is justifiable
We close our eyes
Since the value of dollar exceeds the value of life
We close our eyes
When even with inefficiency the skin hue justifies a valuable pass through
We close our eyes
When power is the acme of life and any other living is surviving
We close our eye
Since for upliftment greed is the base of the rich and powerful's creed
We close our eye
When we feast ruthlessly on the down trodden like hyenas on a carcass
We close our eyes
Realistically corruption expands exponentially especially with wealth as bait
So I close my eyes
The beauty of a tree is seen for its leaves and or fruit ignoring its body and root
I close my eyes
Dear God, your God, our God, any God tell me
When Can I open my eyes
