Spoken Word: Respect

First respect yourself. Respect breeds love

Spoken Word: Respect

Respect.. It’s not just a word
It’s the word
The one that can’t be replaced for love
For respect paves the way to true love
A solid character demands respect
You can have untrue love without respect
Respect has no financial value
Enemies could hate you while respecting you
Respect lingers in the pipeline of truth
Respect is on the highest rung of age and youth
The foundation of a family is a respected icon
Respect cannot be coaxed or coerced into c’mon

First respect yourself
Respect breeds love
One can be loved but not respected
If you love unconditionally your demands are respected
Respect is ankle high to an elf yet a mountain to a fool
Don’t be misused by idle words respect is not a tool
The demise of our society will be the lack of respect
For showered vanity can be an emblem to respect
While the lust for respect can turn fools into killers
The joy of respect can turn vagrants into emperors
Open arms of care fold gently with respect and trust
