Spoken Word: The Colour of Tears

Real tears | Black Creek Community

So they killed this fat black man selling cigarettes
It's not as low as the confounded law breakers get
Those damn black boys run faster than they can
So they shoot some in there backs when they ran
Funny how white boys stand and give them backchats
It’s instant death to any black man who tries to do that
Still they want to say that justice is blind
Hell no! That justice is as blind as a police dog's behind

Killing a black man is giving the law man one kill free
Sometimes crookedness below the radar goes to see
The effects of killing and draconian hate are compounded
Triggering adverse family sorrow that hate surrounded
This division increases exponentially without a fix
The blame game goes on, for killing justice in the mix
Xenophobic white supremacist leadership is a source
Judicial system maneuvered like an obstacle course

Now my on again, off again friend don’t want me see
The venomous impact that hate can have equivocally
Vilifying values and etiquette, emboldened ignorance is crazy
Offering thoughts and prayers after shooting is misery
Come on! Anyone with a living soul can see the cruelty
Political intentions instigates compounded legacy
A mired cesspool of political filth feeding corrupt vines
As the wind of exposure blows it gets stinker every time
