Here I am poised on the crest in defiance
The surging tide of life passes under my feet in annoyance
That thrilling depth I cannot see
For your visual of want and desire is with me
I'll face the raging storm of greed and imperfection
Knowing you'll be the calm of unleashed affection
Facing the bending waves within the mist so fine
Slowly it'll abate as your memory draws me to your shoreline

My love it was sabotage I was a victim of piracy
They sank my ship but couldn't erase your memory
Throughout that ordeal my compass took a beating
The midnight sky gave me the North Star to follow on wishing
It must be hallucination but the horizon was wearing a halo
The closer I got my eyes unfolded that reflection was your glow
It's not an ocean I was lost and lock in the wrong arms
The forces of nature is aligning me to embrace your charms

It's tough to accept if you've never been in love till you've lost it
Complacency meets desire to be elsewhere till it don't fit
Im samba dancing with disgust and can't find the beat
The return journey is hard but pride won't hinder a kiss of feet
It is like running from my shadow only to see my reflection
In a valley of destruction yelling as echo reverbs in all direction
Hoping you are open and ready to reboot the passion of life
I'm broken I'll leave emotion alone let your attention be the knife
Missing the value of love is a conscionable crime
Here I am humbly asking for forgiveness this time
