Spoken Word: When Enough is Enough

Spoken Word: When Enough is Enough

Shadows turn sideways to avoid the stench
Rotten piles and feaces laden below the senate bench
In the House of Representatives immorality holds true
As nostrils refuse to work when lobbyist lay onus on you
Saddling hope resting in the midst of transgressions
Xenophobic aroma and insecurity propagated the mission
But why when all that's left is a promise of used treasure
Return civility, wall of shame, ignorance that can't be measured
Aching back and tired feet lies and chance to make great great
Buried blindness of racism and an exorcism of religious faith

Bring a sterilizer, bleach, steam, or isopropyl to cleanse this
Changing leaderships has proven it's virtually hit or miss
In the most eloquent of places amidst confusion it is still the best
Today corruption's rear door is open, the diseased is running the test
Greed has a favorable pitch fork sharing ritualistically in agreement
Poor or disenfranchised is an abomination lacking contentment
Diplomacy is the metering device and the rules are on an air foil
Though the stench rises like the noonday tide as vapored voices roil
As citizens of earth when is enough enough who'll take the helm
Shuddered weak voices are garbled lack of equality is overwhelmed
When the ice melts reality will expose the culprit's frost bitten toes
For shame has a way seeking forgiveness when exposed
