Saint Lucian Adrian Fanus, founder of Adrian Fanus Grooming, a luxurious high-end salon located in Brooklyn's trendy Clinton Hill, will partner with Project Education, a non-profit organization that promotes the educational success of Saint Lucian children, in particular those families experiencing economic hardship, by ensuring they have school supplies to start each academic year.

The organization has assisted over 500 students since its inception in 2010.

Project Education collects donated school supplies and allocates financial contributions received to purchase school supplies. From a $20 donation, Project Education is able to purchase 30 such supplies, including notebooks, pens, rulers, backpacks, and the like. The supplies collected are donated to Saint Lucia's National Community Foundation (NCF) and other local community groups for distribution.

Throughout June and July, Adrian Fanus Grooming will be accepting donations; patrons are also encouraged to call to schedule a pick up between June 1 and July 30. All types of school supplies are needed, including notebooks, folders, pencils, scissors, backpacks, erasers, pencil boxes, filler paper packages, crayons, glue sticks, colored pencils, highlighters, pens, sharpeners, rulers, markers, scientific calculators, etc.

"We are overjoyed to announce our partnership with Project Education," said Fanus. "Our joint effort to collect school supplies for children in Saint Lucia is so important. The right tools are crucial to success in the classroom, and we certainly hope to provide all Saint Lucian children with these tools."

"I am genuinely grateful for this new partnership," said Jeremiah Hyacinth, founder of Project Education. "I eagerly look forward to the benefits this new venture will yield for the children of Saint Lucia. Adrian Fanus Grooming is certainly showing great leadership for the Diaspora."

Adrian Fanus Grooming has provided services for such esteemed celebrities as Oscar Award winning actor, Forest Whitaker, Idris Elba, John Legend, Grant Hill and Nate Robinson to name a few.

In addition to the ongoing Project Education School Supplies Campaign, other events include fundraising cookouts and the annual Saint Lucian Breakfast for Education, which is scheduled for Sunday, July 22 at the Saint Lucia House This year's Breakfast for Education will feature the introduction and inaugural presentation of Project Education's Distinguished Service Awards. These newly established awards recognize outstanding individuals for their remarkable service to the children of Saint Lucia.
