St. Maarten’s Princess Juliana International Airport has been shortlisted for PrivateFly’s 2019 “Most Scenic Airport Landings” poll.
The airport is iconic in the aviation industry for its approach and takeoff that often leaves beachgoers at nearby Maho Beach in awe, as aircrafts come in directly overhead for landing.
Accordingly, this is not the first time that St. Maarten’s famous airport has been nominated for the honour. They have been included in the top 10 list every year since 2010.
An independent panel of travel industry experts and influencers curated this year’s shortlist of 32 airports from around the world. The ultimate top 10 is to be voted on by the general public. Voting is currently open online and concludes on February 28, 2019.
Director of Tourism of St. Maarten Ms. May-Ling Chun stated: “We would like to thank PrivateFly’s esteemed panel for acknowledging our airport’s stunning views once again this year.
She also said; “We thank those who vote for Princess Juliana International Airport in advance and hope to be featured on this prestigious list again this year.”
Voting can be done via PrivateFly's website.
