Hollywood actress, Tatyana Ali, will be honoured by the Caribbean Heritage Organization (CHO) at the 2011 Salute to Hollywood & the Arts at The Woman's Club of Hollywood in California.

The event is set to take place onÔøΩSaturday, June 25 during the 2011 Caribbean-American Heritage Month celebrations.

Born in 1979, Miss Ali is currently the Producer and Executive Vice President of Tyler Perry Studios and is very well known as one of America's most talented and versatile actresses of screen and television.ÔøΩShe is theÔøΩdaughter of immigrants from Trinidad & Tobago and Panama. Her mom wasÔøΩa nurse from Panama and her Dad, Sheriff Ali, was a retired police officer from Trinidad. Tatyana started singing at four years old and begged her mother toÔøΩtake her to an audition for Sesame Street. She twice won Star Search, receiving a four star rating when she appeared for a second time. At only seven years old Tatyana moved from New York to Los Angeles where she went on to cement her career.

A Broadway-trained actress, singer, activist and graduate of Harvard University with a degree in Anthropology, audiences best recognise her work as the New York native Ashley, in NBC's hit comedy, The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. She has since appeared in such films as Glory Road and The Brothers. She currently stars in the TV One hit, Love that Girl.
