Canada’s largest and longest running Muslim convention is set to take place this weekend from July 7-9 at the International Centre in Mississauga.

The three-day event - called Jalsa Salana - features a special press conference, unique Islamic exhibition, scholarly addresses on the true, peaceful teachings of Islam and much more.

Tens of thousands from around the world are expected to attend this unique event. This year’s annual convention includes a special press conference which provides media an opportunity to ask questions regarding increased social conflict and Islam’s response to contemporary issues. The press conference will be conducted by Mr. Lal Khan Malik, National President of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama`at Canada, and Imam Azhar Haneef, National Vice President of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community USA.

Media is encouraged to attend all three days of this prominent convention, which will include various media opportunities and engagements.
