Surprisingly, 66% of daters consider selfies an immediate turn-off when it comes to a prospective date. Next time you're about to take a duck-lipped closeup, hand the camera to a friend instead.
>> 3. GETTING LOST IN THE CROWD
Only 10% of people liked seeing potential dates in a group of their friends -- so ditch the posse and let your uniqueness shine through.
>> 4. HIDING YOUR TRUE COLORS
Black-and-white photography might be artsy, but when it comes to your dating profile, you have to keep it colorful. Only 19% of people want to see you with a mod two-toned filter.
>> 5. DON'T BE A 'BEAUTIFUL STRANGER'
Many daters make the mistake of being too mysterious. On average, survey respondents said they need three photos to make a fair judgment of a profile. They also disliked photos where users obscured their faces in silhouette.

>> Use a real-life dating app like happn so that it's easier to be recognized by the cute girl/guy you saw on the street the other day.
Co-founder and CEO of happn Didier Rappaport has this advice for daters: "Get out there and live! Every time you move, you could be bumping into someone interesting, so get exploring. And if you meet someone you like, make sure they know about it — whether that’s offering to go for a cup of coffee, or sending them a ‘charm’ on happn, at the very least, it’ll be flattering."
