TORONTO, ON: Toronto based actress/singer-songwriter/yogi Dayle McLeod is self-publishing an epic eight song folk L.P called ‘ FRIENDS’ on all major music hosting sites everywhere August 30, 2018.

Written, recorded, produced and mixed by McLeod in various bathroom/bedroom-turned-studios in Toronto, Brooklyn and Los Angeles, McLeod credits her yoga practices and Ayurvedic lifestyle for her stable energy and consistent inspiration leading her to complete these works.

“The relationship to my music changed completely once I started to use yogic principles in the creation, execution and follow through of it. Doing literally everything myself, I had to use my flexibility of mind to learn new skills on new software, I needed patience, persistence, courage and lots of and lots breath to ground me in this work that took over a year to complete. Those skills I learned from practicing yoga” - Dayle McLeod

The songs range in intensity from her upbeat, sweet 90’s influenced song ‘TIME’ to her title single ‘FRIENDS’ with crashing piano, brutal lyrics and haunting harmonies, with an equally raw music video to accompany it.

Dayle got her start in the entertainment business as an actor, starring in Martin Gero’s CW/CTV series ‘THE L.A COMPLEX’, Kristin Waterson’s award-winning gay web series ‘THATS MY DJ’, and her most recent project comes from ‘AMERICAN PSYCHO’ Director Mary Harron’s in her new film about the infamous Manson cult murders called ‘CHARLIE SAYS’ alongside ‘THE CROWN’ star Matt Smith, where she will also be getting a musical score credit for her song ‘MY MOTHERS BODY’ inspired by the murder of Sharon Tate to be played during the credits.
