Mohamad Fakih, CEO of Paramount Fine Foods and founder of the Fakih Foundation, has established a fund and launched a campaign, Canada Strong, to collect financial donations for the families of the Canadian victims of Flight 752. The donation target is CAD$1.5 million.

In the coming days and weeks, the families of the 57 victims from across Canada will face a number of expenses. At this time of grieving across the country, Mr. Fakih is calling on Canadians to contribute to Canada Strong to help the families of the victims with these expenses.

All donations will go to The Toronto Community Foundation and donors will receive a tax receipt. Dentons Canada LLP has also agreed to partner with this initiative to provide pro bono legal services.

Mr. Fakih and the Fakih Foundation along with the New East Family Foundation has already made a donation of CAD$60,000 to launch Canada Strong.

Canada Strong was officially launched by Mayor Tory, Shaun Chen (MP Scarborough North) and Mohamad Fakih on Monday, January 13 at 10 AM at Paramount Middle Eastern Kitchen, 253 Yonge Street, Toronto.
