With two showrooms at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre stocked with the latest cars, trucks and SUVs from some of the world’s biggest automotive brands, the Canadian International AutoShow is the ideal starting point for the car-buying journey.

It is a one-stop chance to explore vehicle options available in an experiential setting — connect with product experts, weigh your options, get an up close look at the car, have a seat to see how you fit in it and, for some of the EVs that are currently in the market, you can even take it for a test drive. And if you like what you see, you can place an order.

“We are attracting record crowds because people want to see what the leading auto manufacturers are offering,” says Jason Campbell, General Manager of the AutoShow. “At a time when global supply challenges make it difficult to keep a car lot fully stocked, at the AutoShow you see what is in the marketplace all in one spot.”

Canadian automotive shoppers are liking what they see. For the third day in a row, the AutoShow set an attendance record with 50,524 coming to kick tires at the Convention Centre, making it the largest Family Day crowd to ever attend the AutoShow.

These potential car consumers are enjoying the latest product lineups from big manufacturers, including many cars that are hard to find outside of the AutoShow.

  • Across its Chevrolet, GMC, Buick and Cadillac brands, General Motors is pulling out all the stops on its move to electrification. It has more than 20 electric vehicles at the AutoShow this year, a significant jump from the one it had in 2020. The EV lineup includes the Chevrolet Silverado, Equinox, Blazer and Bolt, GMC Sierra Denali, Hummer SUV and SUT and the Cadillac LYRIQ. Enjoy the driving experience of the LYRIQ, Bolt and Bolt EUV on the EV Test Track.
  • The all-new Buick Encore GX has made its global debut at the AutoShow, and the Buick Wildcat EV concept introduces exciting artificial intelligence, biometrics and aromatherapy technologies. The Wildcat is designed to detect an elevation in driver heartrate and automatically adjust vehicle settings to calm them down. When Zen Mode is activated, it will dim the cabin lights, disperse calming aromatherapy scents and activate massaging seats.
  • Beyond its EVs, Chevrolet has introduced the latest member of its SUV family, the all-new 2024 Trax, plus the all-new 2023 Colorado and the Oshawa-built Silverado HD. For those seeking some muscle under the hood, there is a selection of Corvettes and Camaros to peruse.
  • The 2023 Cadillac Escalade — the most powerful full-size SUV ever — can be found at the Cadillac booth along with the most track-capable cars in Cadillac history, the CT4-V and CT5-V Blackwing.
  • Check out the Hyundai IONIQ 5, the Automotive Journalists Association of Canada Utility Vehicle of the Year, and a pre-production model of the IONIQ 6, alongside the full lineup of Hyundai vehicles, from all-electric to gasoline powered. Try out the IONIQ 5 or the Kona at the EV Test Track.
  • For the first time in Canada, get a look at the 2023 Dodge Hornet (the fastest compact utility vehicle in the market), 2023 Alfa Romeo Tonale and the 2023 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 20th anniversary edition. In total, Stellantis Canada is displaying eight Jeep models, nine Ram trucks and the new Grand Wagoneer — as well as a Dodge Challenger Hellcat.
  • See the all-new Toyota Grand Highlander for the first time in Canada at the AutoShow, showcased along with the all-new 2023 Prius Prime, GR Corolla, Sequoia and the all-electric bZ4x — and a full roster of their cars and trucks. Take the RAV4 Prime and bZ4x for a spin on the EV Test Track.
  • The first all-electric Lexus, the RZ, is on the AutoShow floor, alongside the fully redesigned 2023 RX. The plug-in hybrid NXP is available for a test run on the EV Test Track.
  • Nissan is highlighting its latest addition to its EV lineup, the ARIYA, its most advanced production vehicle ever with 490 kilometres of driving range on a single charge. It is also showcasing its popular models — Rogue, Murano, Sentra, Pathfinder, Frontier — and the sporty Z, its most anticipated new sports car.
  • Alongside the debut of the refreshed 2024 Seltos, Kia is showing a full lineup of electric, plug-in hybrid, hybrid and gasoline vehicles — including the Stinger, Telluride, Forte, Niro, Sorento and Sportage. The Niro and EV-6 are available to drive at the EV Test Track.
  • The all-new redesigned Subaru Crosstrek can be seen for the first time in Canada at the AutoShow. Along with its regular roster of cars and utility vehicles, Subaru is also showcasing its all-electric Solterra — which is also available for test runs on the EV Test Track.
  • One of the newest entries in the consumer automotive market in Canada, the Vietnam-based Vinfast is showcasing four vehicles from its all-electric lineup: the all-new VF6 two-row compact eSUV, the VF7 midsize eSUV, the VF8 eSUV and the luxury VF9. Test drive the VF8 at the EV Test Track.

The AutoShow continues until February 26th. Guests are reminded that peak hours are between 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. Tickets are discounted $6 after 6 p.m.
