Christopher Dudus Coke, the now infamous Jamaican drug lord who U.S Prosecutors claim is the leader of the Shower Posse drug gang, is set to be sentenced in a Manhattan court at 2:00 pm today.

Coke who is 43, has admitted to racketeering and assault charges and faces up to 23 years in prison. Towards which, U.S. prosecutors have been pushing for Coke to serve the maximum term and be deported from the United States. Last year Coke sought leniency and wrote a letter to the Judge expressing his regret towards his actions.

Dudus was captured in 2010 under tense and often warlike scenes in the West Kingston slum of Tivoli Gardens. This was after a gun and bullet fuelled stand-off between Dudus' loyal supporters in Tivoli Gardens and the Jamaican Defence Force where some 70 persons were reported to have been killed during this period.

Dudus was eventually captured dressed in a wig and disguised as a woman in a car driven by a local Jamaican priest.
