Starting July 1, 2019, Jamaica will welcome nonstop direct flights from Peru to Montego Bay. Operated by LATAM Airlines Group, the airline will operate three weekly flights to Montego Bay’s Sangster International Airport from the airline’s hub in Lima, Peru with convenient connections from cities in Argentina, Brazil, Bolivia, Chile, Paraguay and Uruguay.

The route will be operated by an Airbus A320 aircraft with a capacity for 174 passengers, offering a total of 52,600 seats per year.

“This new service by LATAM Airlines is yet another exciting achievement for Jamaica as we seek to grow arrivals from Latin America,” said Donovan White, Jamaica’s Director of Tourism. “This service, set to begin next July, will give potential visitors in Peru and connecting cities ample time to begin planning their Jamaican summer vacation.”

According to Pablo Chiozza, VP of the United States, Canada, the Caribbean and Asia of LATAM Airlines Group, the airline is excited to begin this new service. “The addition of the Montego Bay-Lima route is part of our commitment to offer more leisure travel options to our passengers. Montego Bay will be our fifth destination in the Caribbean, complementing more than 50 weekly frequencies to Aruba, Cancun, Havana and Punta Cana.”

LATAM Airlines Peru flight LA2464 (Lima-Montego Bay) will depart Lima’s Jorge Chávez International Airport every Monday, Thursday and Sunday at 12:05 p.m., arriving Sangster International Airport in Montego Bay at 5:00 p.m. The return flight, LA2465, will operate on the same days and depart Sangster International Airport at 6:05 p.m., arriving in Lima at 10:50 p.m. (all times local).
