The ruling party, The Movement for Change and Prosperity (MCAP) on Montserrat have announced their nine-member slate of candidates to contest the upcoming general elections which are constitutionally due by September this year.
In an interview with local broadcasting house, ZJB Radio, Leader of the MCAP party and Premier, the Honourable Reuben T. Meade says four additional members will join the five incumbents. These new members are Roy Greaves, Dr. Samuel Joseph, Nurse Brenda Daley and Justin Hero Cassell. They will form the party alliance along with the Honourable Colin Riley, the Honourable Charles Kirnon, the Honourable Easton Taylor Farrell, the Honourable, Jermaine Wade.
MCAP will be campaigning under the slogan, the “Team to fulfill the dream”, and according to the Premier the MCAP administration has made a significant impact in the communities and upon the lives of residents on Montserrat.
Mr Meade told ZJB news that over the past four-and-a-half years his government has worked assiduously to improve the living conditions of all on island. Thus he is appealing to the populace to renew their contract with the MCAP to oversee the future development of the island.
