Most Wanted Guyanese Criminal Finally Captured In Toronto

The Royal Canadian Mounted Police have arrested Guyanese national, Shameer Allie, on violence and weapons related crimes in Toronto, Canada.

Allie was finally caught after being on a most wanted list of foreign fugitives in Canada. The arrest of Allie became possible after a tip on the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA)'s website. Allie was listed for deportation and since his capture, such proceedings have already begun.

The CBSA's list also asked that Canadians who recognized the individuals to turn them in. Tips so far submitted to the website have led to the capture of 16 wanted fugitives.

The CBSA website states, "It has been determined that they violated human or international rights under the Crimes Against Humanity and War Crimes Act or under international law."
