A brand new report looking into the content creators, celebrities and social media stars with the highest followings across different global territories has crowned singer Justin Bieber as the most popular influencer in Canada, and more than 287 million followers worldwide.

The Influencers: Mapped Report from the team at Affise looks at the most prolific content creators with the biggest social fans in countries around the world, analysing which are the most popular on Instagram, TikTok and YouTube.

The former teen heartthrob and pop star’s social channels include behind the scenes footage from his tours, shots of the star looking loved-up with supermodel wife Hailey, and promotional content for his clothing brand ‘Drew House’. 

The 27 year old Ontario-born star, who first achieved global fames aged just 16 following the release of his hit song ‘Baby’, ranks third overall on the list of the top 30 most popular social influencers. Number one emerges as Portuguese soccer player Cristiano Ronaldo (355,120,000 followers), while the number two slot is taken up by Bieber’s famous ex-girlfriend, the singer and actress Selena Gomez, who boasts 331,700,000 social fans.
