They will also receive branded golf and travel bags from Intertops for the Scotland trip.

Jonas spoke on behalf of the duo who have spent the last two years trying to win this event: "we are very excited about winning this tournament, my partner Dougie and I have persevered for three years and we stuck to it and very happy that we were there for each other today and am still a little bit in disbelief but I am here tonight (at the Awards Cocktail and Auction) and very excited."'

Passing showers did not dampen the golfers enthusiasm and only two strokes separated the top three pairs "' Wilston Charles and Dwayne Hill were second ad received prizes from Colombian Emeralds and Kennedy's and third place pair Ivan Hixon and Dave George received prizes from Johnnie Walker and all received trophies from Golf Experience Caribbean.

An elated Zorol Barthley, CEO of Golf Experience said that the success of this year's event shows that the sport is definitely getting bigger in Antigua and Barbuda: "It was great to see youngsters watching the tee offs this morning and for the live coverage provided by ABS television. I cannot thank the golfers enough for really bringing their best game, as well as the staff at Cedar Valley Golf Course for their tremendous hard work to produce a very good looking course. I also want to thank Coach Jim Todd for so readily agreeing to participate in this year's event and to our sponsors who have truly partnered with us to produce a tournament we are proud of."'

While Jonas has played for seven years, his partner has been playing for over 20 and both have entered local and regional competitions, this will be their first visit to Scotland and they are looking forward to the challenge.
