The orchestra was playing
Wind blew sending the music sheets flying
Racism was on the drums
Hate was on the bass as they strum
Inequality was on rhythm guitar
Xenophobia was the offbeat synthesizer
It was the sixth of January - democracy gone
Who cared? The trumpeter played on

Party supporters battled down for fun
Turning the white house into a party house and run
Like the titanic the band will play on
If in doubt give every man a gun
White privilege is something that’s never over-used
January sixth, if they were black they’d be abused
Who cares if the election was fair
For party affiliation, deny with angelic voice declare

The trumpeter soloed and the band held the rhythm
Pence was due to come in next he hated untruism
January sixth an uprising date muddled in infamy
A day to neutralize racism hate and impurities totally
Rebels were in party mode, storm the gate, go on bad
Control the house, change the rules and who mad, be mad
This is what we lack, in this band the trumpeter is king
Play tunes the band will follow and who can sing, sing
