TORONTO, Ont. (May 31, 2018) – Thursday, June 21 marks the official first day of summer which means that a celebration is in order. Break out your flip-flops and sunscreen and say hello to summer with the Wine & Spirit Festival as it celebrates its 10th anniversary.

The festival returns to Sugar Beach on June 22 and 23 with great music, plenty of vendors and delicious varieties of food and drink to choose from. The urban beach in Toronto’s downtown core will transform into a party paradise for the weekend where guests can experience well-known products, gain valuable knowledge from industry experts and enjoy a memorable weekend with friends.

“We are so excited for this year’s festival, marking our 10-year anniversary,” says Scott Rondeau, Wine & Spirit Festival Co-Founder. “This year is going to be bigger and better than ever and we can’t wait for guests to enjoy all the amazing food, drinks and entertainment we have lined up for them.”

Guests can look forward to many exciting activities and workshops at this year’s festival including:

Food and Wine School curated by Feast On - More than a dozen Ontario chefs are bringing their knowledge to the beach to talk about what it means to cook and eat local. These first-come first-serve sessions will be held throughout the day and guests who attend will be given sample dishes to taste.

Wine and Spirit Stage - Head over to the festival stage where you can find live performances throughout the weekend. With many local artists performing different genres of music, there is sure to be an act for everyone. Be sure to check out the performance schedule to be posted closer to festival weekend at http://www.wineandspiritfestival.ca

Cocktail Class - Guests will have the opportunity to make both traditional and unique drinks during Cocktail Class. These sessions will be taught by celebrity bartenders, including Food Channel host Kevin Brauch. Each session will be different, so guests are encouraged to keep coming back and learning more. Sessions will include social media worthy sharing sample tastings of all cocktail creations.

Art Installations - Interactive Art Installations created by local artists can be found around the grounds. Each creative piece will add a unique aspect to the event while giving guests a great photo opportunity and a chance to become immersed in local artwork.

A portion of all ticket sales for this event goes directly to the Canadian Music Therapy Trust Fund (http://www.musictherapytrust.net).
