The Canadian Black Chamber of Commerce (CBCC) is dedicated to elevating the economic development of the Black Business Community (BBC). We are committed to conducting the required collaboration and research that delivers evidence-based solutions that improve the lives and strengthen economic growth within the BBC. The CBCC is seeking multiple experienced, energetic and collaborative individuals who will play a key support role in achieving the CBCC’s core mission and serving our amazing membership through the position of Business Advisor.
Business Advisors are responsible for advising members and participants of CBCC’s programs. Advisors assist entrepreneurs in planning and executing business strategies to improve efficiency in the operational and financial management of their businesses.
The Business Advisors may facilitate groups, provide one on one assistance, assist with preparation of budgets, advise on projects and marketing, and perform risk analysis. They will assist entrepreneurs with streamlining efficiency, increasing productivity and profitability, and assist in improving marketing strategy.
To succeed in this position, the advisor should possess an exceptional track record in evaluating such areas as business processes, marketing strategies, finances, and business ideation work. Suitable Business Advisors are experts in improving business strategies, productivity, accountability, and group facilitation.
Additionally, the Business Advisor should be competent with motivation, encouragement, and operate with a high degree of empathy and patience.
